Oliver Sild, founder of WebARX teased on the WebARX Community Facebook Group that WebARX had acquired “a company known in WordPress security ecosystem that has been around since 2016.”

A quick scan of the top WordPress security companies reveals some interesting info…

Malcare: Founded 2016
iThemes Security: Founded 2008
Sucuri: Founded 2010
Wordfence: Founded 2011
Sitelock: Founded 2008
Astra Security: Founded 2017

So, if WebARX is acquiring another plugin company, it would appear that Malcare is the most likely scenario, however they could simply be acquiring another company that provides security services to businesses and does not offer a commercial plugin.
